BIO:
Dr. Chris Reeder is a native of Louisville, KY where he is currently co-owner of Animal Dermatology Clilnic and practices full time. Dr. Reeder is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Dermatology and currently serves on the Credentials Committee for that organization. He has published several articles both nationally and internationally, most recently published in Journal of Small Animal Pracitce in Japan. Dr. Reeder has lectured at several local, state and national meetings. Dr. Reeder's main interest are chronic otitis, immune-mediated skin desease and zoo animal dermatology. He currently consults for both the Louisville Zoo and the Mesker Zoo in Evansville, IN.

Diagnostic Cytology Part I
If you would like to reacquaint yourself with dermatologic cytology this lecture is for you. A review of basic cytologic findings in everyday practice of small animal dermatology including: Inflammatory cells, acantholytic cells, keratinocytes, etc. How to properly take diagnostic cytology samples, prep and view the slides.

A continuation from Part I, this will include bacterial, fungi and yeast cytology along with more advanced cytologic findings like keratohyaline granules and fungal spores. How to make tape preps from DTM plates and review fungal elements to make a correct diagnosis.

Approach to the Itchy Pet
This provides basic and advanced differentials for the pruritic pet. Atopy, food allergy, ectoparasites along with several immune-mediated disorders will be discussed and how to decide what steps to take in making the correct diagnosis. Topical Therapies in Dermatology
From skin barrier restoration products to immune-suppressives, the newest in topical therapies will be discussed and their uses. Discoid lupus, atopy, vasculitis and other topics will be discussed and how to apply these therapies in everyday practice.
